Welcome to the Wishart Sharks Swim Club. We are a friendly, family‑focused swimming community based at Wishart State School and are dedicated to providing an active swimming environment for the local community.
We welcome all swimmers in Wishart community and surrounding areas to join in and compete in our club meets each Friday night of the swimming season.
The club meets every Friday night from the first week in Term 4 until the last week of Term 1 the following year, except school holidays. All ages and swimming abilities welcome, including parents, grandparents and guardians.
Wishart Sharks compete in 3 carnivals each summer, giving swimmers a fantastic opportunity to race against other local clubs. Carnivals are held at both home and away venues on a weekend.
Wishart Swim Club uses a 25-meter heated pool and is located at the Wishart State School pool on Morella St, Wishart.
Wishart Sharks is an approved Play On! activity provider. If you have a voucher, please select Play On! registration option when registering.
📅 2026–2027 Season
- Sign‑On Opens: September 2026
- Season Starts: Term 4 – Friday 9th October (Christmas break commencing 11th Dec)
- Season Resumes: Term 1 – Friday 29 January 2027
- Season Ends: Term 1 - 19th March 2027 (season break up party 21st March 2027)
Club Night Overview
- Gates open 5:30pm
- Children must be supervised.
- A 15m event for swimmers unsure if they can swim 25m is held at 6pm (prior to the main races commencing) and no nomination is needed.
- Club Seniors and 15m swimmer's family members support swimmers during this event.
- 25/50/100m Racing starts at 6:10pm. Swimmers will be called to marshal for each event.
- For swimmers new to swimming or not confident swimming 25m, club seniors are available to help.
- Finishes around 8pm to 8:30pm, but families can leave when they are finished racing
- Canteen and BBQ sell food and drinks.
- Club nights need volunteers to run - See Volunteering to sign-up
- Nominations for races close at 5:00pm Friday evening or as advised in the nomination reminder email
- All nominations are by SwimTopia.
